Each year before graduating, students at Shawnee State University have an opportunity to take care of all the end-of-school activities at one event, Countdown to Commencement, that was held on Tuesday, Feb. 22 this year.
Students can order caps and gowns for the commencement ceremony, order class rings and get information on Job Fairs and the Alumni Association, as well as go through the exit counseling that is required. Two students, Danielle Bender, left, and Arion Smith, middle, took advantage of the event and are talking to Charlotte Hardy, assistant director, Compliance and Student Loans, in the Office of Finance, seated, who is helping them with their final paperwork.
