Burns Supper raises $800 for Creative Writing Fund at SSU

The Port City Benevolent Society celebrated the life, work and times of Scotland's famous poet, Robert Burns, by having an Inaugural Burns Supper to benefit the Shawnee State University Creative Writing Fund on Saturday, Jan. 28 at Port City Café and Pub. The event raised $800 for the fund with the help of Bill Schaeffer, caterer, along with John and Barbara Hogan, owners of the Pub.
