Shawnee State University Homecoming Events Scheduled
Shawnee State University will be holding its annual
homecoming on the weekend of Jan. 23.
“We’re
excited to see everyone come back to campus,” said Angela
Henderson, assistant director of Development/Alumni Affairs.
“They’re going to see a lot of exciting changes that I know
will make them extremely proud of their alma mater.”
New
events will be taking place this year for homecoming weekend
including a “Welcome Home” reception for African-American,
Hispanic, Asian and Native American organization (AHANA)
alumni and an alumni campus tour, both sponsored by AHANA.
“The
Alumni Reunion Reception is a chance for alumni to reconnect
with their classmates with food, music and fun,” Henderson
said. “Plus we’ll have the chance to show off our beautiful
University Center which many of our alumni have not seen
yet. It’s really going to be the centerpiece of our alumni
Homecoming activities.”
