PICKS UP SIX ON ALL-AMC TEAMS; BROOKS NAMED FRESHMAN OF THE
YEAR
Six Shawnee State women's soccer players earned
All-American Mideast Conference honors. Goalkeeper Sam
Rolsen and midfielder Kelley Bowles was named 1st Team All-AMC.
Midfielder Brittney Brooks was named Freshman of the Year
and earned a spot on 2nd Team, while defender Liz Scudder
was named 3rd Team All-AMC. Defender Savoeung Ien and
midfielder Danielle Morgan both earned Honorable Mention
All-American Mideast Conference.
Rolsen, a senior from Cincinnati, Ohio,
has tallied a record of 11-5 in goal with four shutouts.
She ranks 2nd in the AMC with 6.06 saves per game and has recorded 97 saves on the season.
Bowles, a junior from Cincinnati, Ohio,
has started in all 16 games for the Bears. She ranks 1st in the AMC with total goals this season (12) and
tied with Danielle Morgan ranking 3rd with total assists
(8).
Morgan, a
sophomore from Waverly, Ohio, has started in all 16 games
this season. She is tied
for 3rd in the AMC with total assists on the season with 8.
Scudder, a sophomore from Circleville,
Ohio and Ien, a senior from Columbus, Ohio, lead the Bears
defense as they allowed 1.15 goals per game average, the
lowest average in SSU's history. The Bears' defense
tallied four shutouts on the season.
