LEWIS NAMED NAIA SCHOLAR ATHLETE
Men's basketball player junior Derek Lewis was named NAIA
Scholar Athlete. Criteria for being selected a NAIA
Scholar Athlete is that the student-athlete must be of
junior ranked and carry a 3.5 grade point average or above.
Lewis is among 189 men's basketball players in Division I &
II that earned this honor.

ALL-AMC HONORS; NIXSON AND RUSSELL NAMED TO FRESHMAN
TEAM
Justin
Patrick was named All-American Mideast Conference
Second Team. Patrick, a 6-5 senior from
Columbus, Ohio, led the Bears in scoring and
rebounds with 16.1 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.

Ian Nixson and
Timothy Russell were each named to the American
Mideast Conference Freshman Team. Nixson, 5-11
guard from Columbus, Ohio averaged 9.6 points and
2.6 rebounds per game. Russell, a 6-4 forward from
Columbus, Ohio averaged 7.2 points and 3.9 rebounds
per game.
