situations.”

about his business the right way. He’s always in control of himself

from Manchester High School, was an All-Conference selection as a
senior. He currently holds his high school record for most stolen

body in the coming years. He could compete for a spot in the
rotation or come out of the bullpen.”

letter winner in baseball. “Cameron is a power arm with a live
fastball and very good slurve. Based on his stuff and his

mound. He has a lively fastball and good breaking ball and change
up. If he can consistently throw strikes, he’ll be an immediate
asset in the bullpen.”
Collin Uhrig is a
right hand pitcher and utility player from Adena High School.
“Collin may be the best all around athlete in the class. While he
primarily played shortstop in high school, he can legitimately play
eight positions on the field. He has the potential to be a high
average, high power type of hitter. He also has an explosive
fastball and good curveball.”

career.”

infielder and right hand pitcher from Wheelersburg High School, is

off.”

with 2 saves and an ERA of 2.21 as a freshman. He was 4-0 with five
saves and an ERA of 0.87 as a sophomore. “Tyler’s stuff is as good
as anyone’s we have and he fills the strike zone with three
different pitches. He should also provide some leadership to a very
young staff.”
David Bentley is an
outfielder and right hand pitcher out of Greenup County High
School. He transfers to SSU after one season at Transylvania
University. “David will be one of the fastest players on the
roster. He has great arm strength and should provide some bullpen
depth.”
Kenta Sato is a
senior transfer out of the University of Rio Grande. He is an
infielder and right hand pitcher. “Kenta has a chance to one of the
best defensive infielders we’ve had at Shawnee State. He has a
dependable arm out of the bullpen as well. He is one of the most
driven individuals I have ever coached.”
“We are extremely
excited about this recruiting class,” said Coach Tom. “Coach Chris
Moore has done an outstanding job of identifying the best
student-athletes for our program. This is a diverse class and fills
a number of needs. Many of these young men will be able to step in
right away and make an immediate impact. I truly believe these men
will play an integral role in putting Shawnee State Baseball back in
the spotlight.”

record of 16-29 (10-16 AMC) in the 2008 season.
