Advising
Advisors are on duty in the Student Success Center 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 5:00 p.m. on Fridays.  On-Line advising is available by emailing Ask_an_advisor@shawnee.edu. Advising and scheduling questions may also be directed to your specific academic department.  For participating students, advising is also available in the Student Support Services program.

 

Tutoring
Traditional peer tutoring is available in the Student Success Center.  Students have access to on-line tutoring for select disciplines.  Contact the Student Success Center for additional information. (351-3594).

Student Success Center Labs
Computer labs in the Student Success Center are available to all SSU students.  During the quarter, labs are open until 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 a.m. Due to increased usage and space, we ask that students do not bring dependents into the lab.

Health Services

The University provides an on-campus student health clinic for treatment of minor illnesses and injury.  Clinic hours are 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., Monday through Friday.

 

Bring Children to or Leaving Children at the University
Children are welcome at the University at any family event.  However, please do not bring children to the University and leave them unattended while you are in class or at another university-related event.

 

Transportation Assistance
ACCESS (ASC) Scioto County runs a regular transportation schedule throughout Scioto County.  Call 353-5626 for information.

 

The Opportunity and Service Center provides general information and referral services including childcare, transportation, and health needs.  Contact CAO at 740-354-7541.

 

Credit for Military Education Experiences may be explored by contacting the Office of the Registrar at 740-351-3262.

 

Housing
The Office of Student Activities located in the University Center maintains a posting board of off-campus housing availabilities.  The university does not inspect or endorse availabilities.
