The University Staff Assembly (USA) is an official part of the University’s governance structure. This assembly gives support staff the opportunity to be involved in the development of policies by which the university operates and, as our mission states, assist in carrying out the university’s commitment to education. With the development of this governance body, we hope to see improved communication among our own constituency and among the university community. The USA recognizes its shared responsibility for
the performance of the University in carrying out its mission. We understand and support the need
for commitment to the decision processes by which the University conducts
its work and maintains its standards.
To that end, the mission of the USA is to
improve communication among our own constituency, and then among the
University community, to actively participate in governance on the SSU
campus, thereby strengthening the University and assisting in carrying out
its commitment to education. USA meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of each month. Times and locations vary each month. A schedule of the meetings is listed in the newsletters. |
