Pre-Med Club
|
The
Shawnee State pre-med club is a rockin club that is devoted to
preparing its members for the strenuous process of preparing and
applying to medical school, dental school, vet school, etc. We have
meetings featuring current graduate school students, professionals,
and admissions counselors from various medical schools that come and
tell us all they think we need to know in order to reach our goals
of becoming future medical experts. Our club is also involved in
many community service projects such as the crop walk, sponsoring
our own blood drive, working with various nursing homes, etc. Our
big event each year is the annual Pre-med Day that we put on for
high school students interested in the medical field. We show them
our cadavers and try to answer any questions they might have for
us. Now on to the fun stuff. The pre-med club also likes to
party. Every year we host our own Halloween and Christmas party,
along with an end of the year banquet. All in all, the pre-med club
helps our students get into their graduate programs and keep their
sanity along the way.
Purpose: The Shawnee State Pre-Med Club will be for students
interested in pursuing a graduate education in a health-care related
