The SSU Women's Forum was created in 2000 to
"promote, advocate, educate, and support
the women of Shawnee State University and the community at large".
The past years have been marked with great success and wonderful
programming!
In
Spring of 2006, one of the major goals of the Forum was achieved
with the creation of a new Women's Center in Fall 2006.
All programs traditionally sponsored by the Forum now become
Women's Center offerings. Please go to the new
Women's Center website for program information.
But first, you
still need to join the Forum to support
our new Women's Center!
Any
SSU faculty, staff member, or
student may
join. As a Forum member, you will receive
announcements of activities
and initiatives sponsored by the new Women's Center. You'll also be given
the opportunity to become a part of those activities and take a
leadership role in making them happen. New this year,
SSU alumni
may also
become Forum members. What a great way to stay in contact with
the University and the activities of interest to women after
graduation!
We've come a long way! Let's
keep the momentum going together!
