Presidential Charge to committee for 2009 - 2010

The University Technology Advisory Committee is a university-wide committee concerned with the role of technology within the university’s instruction and operations and related policies.  The committee is charged to: 

• Work with UIS and other university offices and groups to ensure that all decisions concerning technology will be well thought out and supportive of the University's mission and goals, including the technology fee distribution;
   

• Work with UIS to review and refine the “Conditions for Use” document ;
   
• Consider the question or requiring laptops for our students;
   
• Make recommendations regarding the enhancement of the role of technology in the university’s instructional environment; and
   
• Monitor and make recommendations regarding the university’s role in technology planning for the University System of Ohio
