Students completing the four-year degrees in Early Childhood at Shawnee State University earn a bachelor of science in education (B.S.Ed.) and are eligible for the Ohio teacher licensure to teach grades Pre-Kindergarten through 3.

License Test Requirements
Prior to Clinical Teaching the candidates must pass the Content Test (012). The Pedagogy Test (001) must be passed before candidates can apply for license. Effective July 1, 2017 both Content and Pedagogy Tests PLUS the Reading Test (090) must be passed before candidates can apply for license.
