General Education Requirements (28 Hours)

Complete the following categories of the General Education Program

  • English Composition (6 Hours Minimum)
  • Quantitative Reasoning (3 Hours)
  • Fine and Performing Arts (3 Hours)
  • Social Sciences (3 Hours)
  • Natural Sciences (7 Hours)
  • Cultural Perspectives (6 Hours)

Concentration Area (21 Hours)

Select courses in an area of specialization from the following list of arts and humanities subject areas to complete the associate of arts degree:

  • ARTH Art History, Humanities
  • ARTS Studio Art (including Visual Art and Design), Comparative Arts
  • ARTG Game Design
  • MUSI Music
  • THAR Theatre

Note: The Department of Fine, Digital, and Performing Arts requires students majoring in art to keep an Assessment Portfolio of significant projects. The Portfolio is reviewed by the department to help determine student progress and curriculum needs. Associate of arts students are required to have at least eight significant projects in their Assessment Portfolios, which must be submitted to the department when they petition for graduation. Failure to submit the Portfolio requires that students participate in a series of comprehensive activities that could delay graduation.
