How is this outcome assessed?

1

Students will be able to demonstrate that they understand general theory in Sociology.

Seniors will be assessed at end of the academic year using the ETS Major Field Test in Sociology.

Students will develop a general understanding of the Sociological utilization of methodology and statistics.

Seniors will be assessed at end of the academic year using the ETS Major Field Test in Sociology.

3

Students will be able to demonstrate in depth knowledge of at least five of the basic social institutions.

Seniors will be assessed at the end of the academic year using the ETS Major Field Test in Sociology.

4

Students will be able to demonstrate that they understand the Sociological perspective in reference to deviance, culture, gender, and social stratification.

Seniors will be assessed at the end of the academic year using the ETS Major Field Test in Sociology.

Students will be able to utilize Sociological concepts in reference to demonstrating critical thinking skills. 

Seniors will be assessed at the end of the academic year using the ETS Major Field Test in Sociology.
