Individual 112 & 490 Scores for Writing and Critical Thinking Project

Fifty-six randomly selected students had writing samples from English 112 and IDST 490, written between the years of 1996 and 2001, placed into individual profiles. Each paper had at least two faculty reviewers who scored the papers in several different categories on a 1-5 scale, with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest. The scores from all of the papers were then averaged together by rubric category (see accompanying rubrics). The difference was found by subtracting the English 112 average from the IDST 490 average for each category.
