In academic year 97-98, approximately 34 Shawnee State students received science baccalaureates. Most received the B.S. Biology or the B.S. Natural Science. There was one B.S. Chemistry recipient.

Many recent graduates are beginning careers in local governmental agencies or regional industries. Several individuals are completing graduate studies in areas like pharmacy and chemical engineering. A significant number of our graduates and graduating seniors have been accepted at medical colleges such as Ohio State University, Ohio University, and Wright State University.
