Events ***Make sure to check this page periodically, as any get-togethers or activities will be posted here.*** Dinner & A Movie - Wed, December 3, 2008- Sometimes in April The Honors Program will gather in the Overlook Lounge, Massie Hall 4th floor at 5:30pm for dinner. Then we will go over to Flohr for the 7:00pm showing of the last film in CIPA's International Film Festival, Sometimes in April. Directed by Raoul Peck, the film shot on location in Rwanda, tells the tragic story of the 1994 genocide. American actress, Debra Winger and British actor, Idris Elba star alongside many local Rwandese actors. The film was voted one of the 10 best TV programs of the year 2005 by the American Film Institute (AFI), was nominated for the Golden Bear award at the Berlin Film Festival, and won the best film award at the Durban International Film Festival. The film will be co-hosted by Honors Program Director, Shannon Lawson, who traveled to Rwanda in June of 2008 and a visitor from Rwanda.
